Campaign 3: The Next Gen

Gen-Z is a generation that grew up with social media and technology, and for them, it's all about the now. They're constantly connected to their friends and family through social media, and they're always looking for the next trend. With the new release of Gossip Girl, we wanted to feature this title but also highlight other shows that speak well to their generation such as Euphoria, Generation and Starstruck.

Let’s connect with them using the language they know and the gradients they love. Blending the iconic Gen Z yellow with our brand colors, plus a touch of motion gets the 𝓰𝓸𝓸𝓭 𝓿𝓲𝓫𝓮𝓼 going.

 
 

The Inspiration Board

In this research, I examined the visual trends of Gen Z, who are known to be influenced by fashion and technology. I found that they are most excited by bright colors and patterns. In addition, they prefer to use social media to express themselves with a variety of filters and editing tools to create unique looks for themselves.

 

We were inspired by the unique style of Gen-Z, a generation that's more interested in how they feel or what kind of “vibe” they like. We wanted to create something that reflected their love of eccentric colors. We decided to use HBO Max purple as the base color, which is a great match for Gen-Z, and by adding Gen-Z yellow accents throughout the design, we created something that feels fresh and modern while still reflecting their particular style. By leveraging both the background texture and characters from prioritized promotional content, we are able to create an even more immersive and atmospheric experience throughout the HBO Max platform.

In this project, my focus was to create responsive website page with two different heroes that are tailored for the campaign, that highlight our titles that relate to Gen-Z, and more information on our product.
