Rebranding Strategies to Elevate Forward Global's Brand Awareness
Philanthropy Workshop is a company that aims to provide expert philanthropy tools and knowledge to individuals and families underserved by traditional financial advisors. It emphasizes evidence-based theories of change, systemic focus, and community involvement. Now known as Forward Global since 2023, it fosters a culture of trust and inquiry, encouraging continuous learning and impactful exploration of philanthropic roles and responsibilities. They sought us to rebrand their company into Forward Global, and we helped them launch their rebrand around November 2023. When I was involved with this project, I was assigned to create a print ad for the New York Times, an email-designed template, create social templates for their social media page on Instagram, and give design feedback on their brochures.
Email Design Template
The client has encountered some difficulties in designing an email template that adheres to the new brand guidelines we created for their benefit. To address this issue, I proposed using accent colors to separate the sections, thereby lending a touch of secondary colors to the design. The main hero of the email should always feature a black-and-white image with a gradient logo, followed by a highlighted section in teal and the rest of the sections.
SOCIAL MEDIA Templates
I identified opportunities to enhance our brand's Instagram page by addressing misused template sizes, polishing images for a more professional appearance, and adding new pages to our brand style guide. These include incorporating textures under text posts with a 50% opacity of teal, utilizing accent colors for hierarchy, color-grading photography for a warm and inviting tone, and developing a design system for post layout to optimize negative space and content readability. These strategic interventions aimed to elevate our brand's visual identity and engagement on the platform.
New York TimeS Print Ad
Regarding the print ad, the client sought to increase membership engagement through a visually compelling design. I emphasized the title by incorporating abstract shapes to draw attention to the quote to achieve this goal. Additionally, a clear call to action was placed at the bottom, guiding readers to a dedicated page explaining Forward Global's mission and philanthropic impact, encouraging meaningful engagement with the organization.
